Ambassador of Sight

Knights of the Blind

In 1925 Helen Keller offered the keynote address at the Lions International Convention. She challenged Lions “to become Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness.”
The Melvin Jones Fellowship was created in 1973 in the name of the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones (1879-1961). This is not an award, but the highest form of recognition to acknowledge an individual Lion's dedication to humanitarian service. Currently, there are nearly 180,000 Melvin Jones Fellows worldwide. The commitment to serving their community has not gone unnoticed!
